Affected travelers can change their tickets to fly until next Monday or request a refund in the form of a voucher. This measure aims to alleviate the complications in ground access to the Madrid airport, exacerbated by the impact on 13 roads within the regional road network, affecting a total of 178 kilometers.
The airline has confirmed that this flexibility policy is also being applied to the airport in Bordeaux, France, which is affected by similar fires.
Previously, Enaire had warned of significant flight operation delays in sectors of Bordeaux due to the proximity of fires to the air traffic control center, which also affected flight operations to and from Madrid.
