The official announcement was made from the command post in Navalcarnero. According to technical reports from the Military Emergencies Unit (UME) and regional directors, the situation has improved significantly, enabling residents in these specific areas to return.
Despite this progress, authorities are maintaining mobility restrictions and evacuation orders in other critical areas of the Community of Madrid. Areas remaining under preventive measures include Valdemaqueda, Robledo de Chabela, and several residential developments in San Martín de Valdeiglesias and Pelayos de la Presa.
The Minister emphasized that the final lifting of restrictions depends on strict safety criteria. To proceed with a full de-escalation, there must be no fire flare-ups for 48 hours, no remaining hot spots, and guaranteed safe access routes for the public.
