The Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) in Majadahonda will reopen its doors in September at its historic Plaza Mayor location, next to the General Registry.

The Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) of the Majadahonda City Council will return starting in September to its historic location, situated under the arcades of the Plaza Mayor, next to the General Registry. Until now, the office had been providing services from municipal facilities located at 34 Guadarrama Avenue.
This move will allow for the recovery of a municipal citizen service space that, being adjacent to the General Registry, will facilitate the processing of claims and prevent unnecessary travel for residents.
In addition to in-person service at the new Plaza Mayor offices, the service will continue to be available via telephone at 916349107 and email. Furthermore, the relocation of the offices will mean that the municipal group previously occupying these premises will move to the first floor of the Town Hall, alongside other political groups.
The OMIC is a direct municipal service that informs and advises citizens about their rights as consumers, as well as receiving and processing claims and complaints, sometimes acting as a mediator for voluntary dispute resolution.
The City Council reminds the public that this office's scope of action is municipal. Claims against companies or establishments outside the municipal area must be directed to the competent consumer services, as must issues falling under the jurisdiction of the Courts of Justice, such as compensation for damages.
Since the implementation of the Unified Claims System of the Community of Madrid, the volume of information requests, claims, and consultations has steadily increased. During 2025, the OMIC opened and managed 635 claim files, and in the last year, it has handled 870 consultations.
