The National Police has dismantled a cell of the Dominicans Don't Play (DDP) gang in Carabanchel, arresting ten individuals, including three minors, for a violent ambush against rival Trinitarios gang members.

The arrested individuals face serious charges including attempted murder, illegal possession of weapons, and belonging to a criminal organization. The investigation focused on an attack that occurred in March 2025, where a 19-year-old man was injured by gunfire.
According to investigators, the aggression was a "vuelta," a term used by these gangs to refer to retaliatory attacks against rivals. The incident began when several Trinitarios members were gathered in a home in the Carabanchel district. DDP members, who control the area known as Capítulo de 4 Chorros, prepared an ambush in a nearby doorway.
When the Trinitarios left the building, they were pursued with machetes and bladed weapons. One of the attackers fired three shots at close range at the 19-year-old, hitting him in the neck and a gluteus.
The police operation was conducted in two phases. In early July, the Police arrested three minors involved, who were preventively admitted to a closed regime by order of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office. Months later, in mid-February, six men and one woman were arrested; the latter is attributed a crucial role in the gang's concealment and logistical support.
During the four house searches linked to the investigated individuals, agents seized various weapons and other relevant items for the investigation.
