The National Police and the Civil Guard have dismantled a criminal group specialized in robbing bank safes using hydraulic tools in Madrid.

The operation led to the arrest of six individuals involved in seven forced robberies committed during January. The perpetrators used hydraulic cutters to force safe anchors, managing to steal over 300,000 euros in cash during their criminal activities.
The criminal organization used stolen high-end vehicles equipped with fake or duplicated license plates. Furthermore, the members impersonated officers of the State Security Forces and Corps, using vests, badges, and firearms to commit violent robberies.
The final phase of the investigation took place on May 20, with searches conducted in homes and industrial warehouses in Madrid, Toledo, and Barcelona. During these raids, officers seized firearms, ammunition, specialized tools, license plate stamping devices, and various valuable items.
The detainees have been brought before the court and all have been remanded in custody. They face charges of belonging to a criminal group, robbery with force, robbery with violence, document forgery, and usurpation of public functions.
