Crane Collapse in Tetuán Damages Three Buildings Without Casualties

The incident at a construction site on Francisco de Sales street caused damage to the building under construction and two adjacent properties.

The fall of a crane at a construction site in Madrid's Tetuán district has caused damage to the building under construction and two nearby properties, with no reported casualties, according to Emergencias Madrid.

The incident occurred at number 27 Francisco de Sales street. Several units from the Madrid Fire Department were dispatched to the scene to assess the damage and secure the area. The collapsed structure also affected a building at number 19 Castilla street, damaging terraces and the roof of a storage unit facility, as well as the roof of a home at number 60 Tenerife street.
As a precautionary measure, residents of the affected home on Tenerife street were temporarily evacuated. The construction site where the accident happened also remains evacuated. Firefighters are continuing their work to secure the affected areas and dismantle the damaged crane in collaboration with the construction company.
During the operation, personnel from Samur-Civil Protection were present preventively. The Drone Unit of the Madrid Municipal Police also assisted in evaluating the situation using aerial technology.
