These tests, spanning two days, are mandatory for students in 4th grade of Primary and 2nd grade of Secondary, in accordance with state law. Additionally, by decision of the regional government, students in 6th grade of Primary and 4th grade of ESO will also be evaluated.
For the third consecutive year, this assessment format seeks to verify students' academic levels not only in intermediate grades but also at the end of both educational stages across all public, semi-private, and private schools in the region.
The primary objective of these evaluations is to ascertain the degree of acquisition of key competencies in areas such as linguistic communication, foreign languages, mathematics, science, technology, and engineering, as well as personal and social skills.
At the Primary level, assessments will focus on specific competencies in Spanish Language and Literature, English Foreign Language, Mathematics, and Social Sciences. For Compulsory Secondary Education, the subjects evaluated will be Spanish Language and Literature, English Foreign Language, Mathematics, and Geography and History.
The development of these evaluations is overseen by teachers from each school and institute, with support from the Educational Inspectorate, the Territorial Area Directorates, and the General Directorate of Bilingualism and Quality of Teaching. Schools and institutes in Madrid will be able to analyze their students' results to implement reinforcement and academic performance improvement plans for each subject.
