These traditions, according to the mayor, are an essential part of Madrid's identity and are celebrated throughout the year through various pilgrimages, processions, and pious customs.

The mayor also conveyed a message of fraternity, quoting Pope Leo XIV on the risk of peace and harmony being perceived as utopian. Almeida urges against resignation to confrontation or indifference, but rather to defend "that which unites and strengthens our neighborhoods, cities, and nation" through respect.
