Officers from the Municipal Police of Madrid, assigned to the Judicial Coordination and Road and Transport Support station, have confiscated 26 fake Vehicle for Hire and Reward (VTC) badges. The operation took place on July 12 after detecting a public establishment in the Ciudad Lineal district where these badges were being sold.
The individuals' modus operandi involved forging official badges from the Community of Madrid. The aim was to simulate authorized passenger transport vehicles, thereby going unnoticed by citizens, taxi drivers, and other VTCs. The public sale of these badges allowed officers to discover the point of sale.
As a result of this operation, two individuals have been brought before the court for an alleged crime of document forgery.
