12 Drug Dens Dismantled, 31 Arrested in Major Anti-Drug Operation in Madrid

The National Police has seized over six kilograms of narcotics, 42,000 euros in cash, and various weapons in a comprehensive operation against drug trafficking.

A significant operation by the National Police has resulted in the dismantling of 12 drug dens and the arrest of 31 individuals across various locations in the Community of Madrid, seizing a large quantity of drugs and money.

The police action, which spanned several Madrid towns such as Parla, Ciudad Lineal, Tetuán, Villa de Vallecas, Carabanchel, Fuenlabrada, Móstoles, Torrejón de Ardoz, and Pozuelo de Alarcón, has removed over six kilograms of narcotics from the market, including cocaine, ketamine, tussi, marijuana, and hashish. Additionally, 42,000 euros in cash, a shotgun, a revolver, bladed weapons, and an electric scooter used for drug transport were confiscated.
Among the notable cases, in Parla, a search and entry on February 12 revealed that residents were exchanging stolen items for drug doses. In Ciudad Lineal, on February 25, an individual using an electric scooter to distribute narcotics was arrested. In Tetuán, on February 23, a criminal organization occupied three residences for sale and consumption, even setting up one as a smoking lounge.
The investigation in Villa de Vallecas, initiated in May 2025, uncovered an indoor marijuana plantation intended for the international market, where birds and poaching tools were also found. In Carabanchel, on March 13, 13 liters of chemicals for drug production were seized. Other operations in Fuenlabrada and Móstoles revealed the use of instant messaging apps for sales and the offering of drugs in exchange for sexual favors, respectively.
In Torrejón de Ardoz, on March 24, a drug den near children's areas was dismantled. Finally, on March 26, two simultaneous operations in Pozuelo de Alarcón and Fuenlabrada resulted in the seizure of over 1,000 marijuana plants and large quantities of hashish and cocaine. In total, the 31 arrested individuals face charges for crimes against public health, electricity fraud, illegal possession of weapons, and receiving stolen goods.

During the first three months of 2026, the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid has dismantled 64 drug sales points and arrested 97 people for these crimes.
