The Councillor for Sports met with the Velilla Volleyball Club to assess the 2025/2026 season and plan the next, reinforcing municipal collaboration.

The Councillor for Sports held a working meeting with Jesús Moreno and Julián Redondo, president and secretary of the Velilla Volleyball Club, respectively. The meeting served to review the 2025/2026 season and address key issues related to the planning of the next sports season.
The club currently has a federated women's team that, after achieving promotion in the previous season, has managed to remain in the category, thus consolidating the work done and continuing its sports project.
During the meeting, planning for the 2026/2027 season was discussed, as well as the collaboration between the club and the City Council. Both parties highlighted their constant disposition, commitment, and coordination in their relationship.
An agreement was also reached on signing the document that will regulate the use of municipal sports facilities during the next season, thereby reinforcing the organization and proper functioning of the installations.
Furthermore, the club was informed about the upcoming actions planned by the City Council regarding the protection of children and adolescents in sports. This project, which the Sports Department has been working on for months, will begin development in September, aiming to raise awareness and provide tools to help continue building increasingly safer sports environments.
The City Council thanks the Velilla Volleyball Club and all its members for their commitment, closeness, and permanent willingness to collaborate in the promotion and growth of sports in the municipality.
