Club Baloncesto Coslada is commemorating its half-century of existence with a grand gala taking place this afternoon at the Coslada Municipal Theater. The event is expected to be attended by players, families, former club members, collaborators, and individuals linked to the entity over these five decades.
On the occasion of this anniversary, the mayor of Coslada, Ángel Viveros, met this week with Demetrio Pintado, the club's president and considered its "guiding spirit," and one of its founders back in 1976. During the meeting, also attended by the delegate councilor for Sports, Luis Arteaga, the club's beginnings and its significance for Coslada and grassroots sports were recalled.
Ángel Viveros congratulated and thanked Demetrio Pintado for "the great work done over this half-century," emphasizing the club's role in the "promotion of grassroots sports and the transmission of values such as effort, camaraderie, respect, and teamwork," as well as its contribution to the social life of the city.
The mayor extended the congratulations and thanks "on my behalf, on behalf of the Government team, and on behalf of our entire municipality" to the families, directors, players, and technical staff, expressing the wish that these be only the first 50 years of many more "building the city and contributing positively to the Coslada Brand."
