The new edition of Health Week in Torrejón de Ardoz has been unveiled with a diverse program of initiatives. The primary goal is to encourage healthy lifestyles, strengthen emotional health, and contribute to the prevention of various pathologies among the municipality's inhabitants.
Activities commenced on Sunday with a Healthy Walk in Parque Europa. On Monday, April 20, a healthy breakfast combined with gymnastics took place in Parque Veredillas. Additionally, Plaza de España hosted a Red Cross bus to facilitate blood donation, a vital community action.
Throughout the week, specific workshops have been scheduled. On Tuesday, April 21, the TORRAFAL association (Association of Alzheimer's Patients' Relatives of Torrejón de Ardoz) conducted an informative session on Alzheimer's disease in Parque Campiña. On Wednesday, April 22, the Centro Polivalente Abogados de Atocha was the venue for a laughter therapy workshop, provided by the University Hospital of Torrejón.
On Thursday, April 23, the same Centro Polivalente Abogados de Atocha hosted a conference on diabetes, led by the Spanish Red Cross, and another activity focused on Parkinson's disease, organized by the Parkinson Torrejón Association.
The program is complemented by a wide array of workshops, talks, and conferences on various health topics, including a school for migraine treatment and information tables from associations such as Torrafal, Parkinson, Grutear, Lactard, Accesdeluz, and Fibromialgia. It also features collaboration from the Aladina Foundation and the 'Drugs or You' bus initiative, among many other proposals.
“"We thank everyone who makes this Health Week possible, especially the health associations that do great work every day."
