Last Saturday, Torrejón de Ardoz held its eleventh Social Inclusion Walk, an initiative that gathered hundreds of participants to support people with functional diversity on a route through the Zona Centro.

The event, promoted by the Torrejón de Ardoz City Council and local entities, began at Plaza Centro with a non-competitive popular walk. The route concluded at the Plaza Mayor, featuring a program of dance performances, live music, and children's activities, along with the distribution of a commemorative souvenir.
The main objective of this initiative is to promote greater social integration for people with functional diversity, recognize the commitment of volunteers, and foster a more autonomous and independent life for this group. The City Council encourages neighborhood participation to accompany and support those facing greater challenges.

"This pace not only serves to celebrate; it also reminds us that a fairer society is built by everyone. Different people, with different abilities, but with the same rights, the same dreams, and the same desire to participate, contribute, and be part of the life we share."

The mayor
The mayor, who accompanied the participants, emphasized the importance of collective involvement in building a fairer and more inclusive society. The Social Inclusion Walk is consolidating itself as an annual event in Torrejón de Ardoz, reaffirming the municipal commitment to equal opportunities and the full participation of all citizens.
