The incident, which surprised residents of the Nueva Alcalá neighborhood, required the intervention of two Fire Department units and a SUMMA 112 ambulance. The woman, who had sustained some type of fracture, could not be brought down via the elevator, forcing rescue teams to find an alternative solution.
Due to the need for a longer ladder, Firefighters from Alcalá de Henares's Station 22 requested support from their colleagues in Coslada, as their own 32-meter ladder was undergoing repairs. A ladder truck from Coslada was dispatched to the scene, along with a pumper truck from Alcalá and the ambulance.
The operation concluded successfully when Firefighters and medical personnel placed the woman on a rescue stretcher and lowered her directly from her apartment's terrace. The coordination and efficiency of the emergency services were praised by residents who witnessed the flawless rescue.
