The town of Alcalá de Henares celebrated a special night with the Great Night March through its Green Ring. This activity, promoted by the organization 1 Million Trees for Climate Change – Green Alcalá, gathered nearly one hundred participants committed to environmental protection.
The route, undertaken under the moonlight, attracted residents from Alcalá de Henares and other municipalities such as Manzanares el Real or central Madrid. The event highlighted the growing public interest in sustainable activities and connection with nature.
During the march, attendees shared an experience combining nature, community, and environmental awareness. It was attended by representatives from FCAVAH, including its president, Enrique Muela, and members of the Pedalada association, reinforcing the collective nature of the event.
A significant moment occurred at kilometer 26, near the tribute to the Progressive Women Francisca de Pedraza. There, participants performed a symbolic gesture by watering young trees recently planted, directly contributing to the improvement of the natural environment.
The organization emphasized the success of participation and the positive atmosphere of the night. They underscored the importance of such initiatives in fostering citizen involvement in environmental defense and sustainable development.
The Great Night March is consolidating itself as a benchmark activity within the Green Ring of Alcalá de Henares, an area increasingly valued by citizens for its connection to nature, health, and environmental commitment.
