A writer residing in Alcalá de Henares has been honored in Chile for his distinguished literary career and his commitment to cultural ties between Spain and Latin America, solidifying his presence in the Hispanic American literary scene.

The author, based in Alcalá de Henares since the late seventies, has recently returned from a trip through Chile and Argentina. During his stay, he received new literary recognition that highlights his role in the cultural conversation connecting Spain and Latin America through literature.
The tribute took place on April 13, at the inauguration of the IV International Festival of the Casa Bukowski International Foundation, held at the University of Talca, in Santiago de Chile. This recognition, presented by a Chilean editor and poet, underscored the writer's consistent dedication to Latin American culture.

"There are writers who travel to present books and others who travel to find an invisible homeland made of shared words."

The writer's career has been forged through lasting bonds, intellectual friendships, and conversations held over the years at various literary gatherings. At the Chilean event, he shared recognition with figures such as a Chilean journalist, an Argentine writer, and an exiled Chilean playwright.
Before his visit to Chile, the author spent nine days in Buenos Aires, Argentina, invited by the Argentine writer. There, he met with local intellectuals and writers, and the possibility of translating a poetic anthology of his work into Italian was explored.
The writer's work continues to expand its horizons. A bilingual anthology in English published in New York in 2019 will soon be joined by a Portuguese edition, promoted by specialized publishers. In this way, the name of Alcalá de Henares continues to travel through literature to different parts of the Hispanic world.
