The IES Isaac Peral in Torrejón de Ardoz has celebrated its 50th anniversary as an educational cornerstone in the city, commemorating the milestone with a series of institutional events and educational activities, including a visit from world boxing champion Miriam Gutiérrez.
The celebration was attended by Mayor Alejandro Navarro Prieto, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Welfare, and Immigration, Rubén Martínez, the Director of the Madrid-East Territorial Area, Marcos Rafael Moreno Sánchez, and the school's director, Celia González Díaz. During the visit, a commemorative plaque was unveiled in honor of fifty years of dedication to education.
In addition to the official ceremonies, the institute welcomed the Councilor for Sports and Tourism, Miriam Gutiérrez Parra, a renowned world boxing champion, on Thursday, April 9. Gutiérrez delivered an inspiring talk on personal growth and sports, complemented by a practical demonstration of her discipline.
The anniversary program included a wide range of activities, such as talks, conferences on science, history, and technology, discussions with former students and teachers, exhibitions, round tables, book presentations, and workshops. These initiatives aimed to connect the center's history with future educational challenges.

I especially want to thank the director, along with her team, teachers, students, and the School Council, as well as all other individuals who contribute to the daily life of the center."
The IES Isaac Peral, which began its journey focused on vocational training, has maintained this identity over the years, also incorporating Secondary Education and new vocational training cycles to expand its educational offerings.
