The blaze started around 8:50 PM in a pasture area behind the cemetery, very close to several homes. The smoke generated by the fire reached the adjacent chalets.
Six units from the Community of Madrid Fire Department were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the flames. Due to the smoke density, the Guardia Civil proceeded with the preventive evacuation of 21 houses to ensure residents' safety. Local Police also participated in the operation.
Firefighters declared the fire under control around 10:15 PM. Once the area was secured and the smoke cleared, residents were able to return to their homes without any injuries or intoxications reported.
