The Local Police of Torrejón de Ardoz has reported eight individuals in recent months for creating graffiti, following reinforced actions against vandalic tagging in the municipality.

The interventions by Torrejón de Ardoz officers have led to the confiscation of a significant amount of material, including spray cans and other tools. These items are presumed to have been used for creating graffiti on various urban surfaces, such as commercial building walls, residential buildings, train carriages, and other public spaces.
Among recent cases, a patrol responded to a residential area after a neighbor reported several individuals painting. Officers identified those involved, including a minor, and proceeded with their report and the confiscation of the materials used.
In another operation, three adults were caught in flagrante delicto in the Soto Henares neighborhood while painting. The Local Police seized 14 spray paint cans and confirmed they were repeat offenders, leading to their subsequent reporting.
Additionally, two young people were intercepted while painting train carriages near the Cercanías station. In a similar incident, two other minors were reported after being caught painting a delivery van, with their legal guardians being informed of the situation.
The Torrejón de Ardoz City Council has highlighted that, in addition to the reports, the Local Police maintains a record of the “signatures” found in the graffiti. This registry aims to create a database to facilitate the identification of potential perpetrators and link the works to those responsible.
In all cases, administrative reports are processed, allowing the council to claim from those responsible the costs associated with cleaning and repairing urban furniture elements affected by the acts of vandalism.
