The Ducal Town of Cogolludo will transport visitors to the 15th and 16th centuries with its VI Renaissance Day, organized alongside the Friends of the Golden Age association.

The Cogolludo City Council, in collaboration with the Friends of the Golden Age – Tercio Cervantino association, has organized the sixth edition of its Renaissance Days. The event will take place in the emblematic Palace of the Dukes of Medinaceli, transforming the town into a historical setting.
The official opening will be led by Carmelo García Pérez, rector of the University of Alcalá and a native of Cogolludo, who will read the historic ‘Letter of Columbus’ to commence the scheduled activities.
Approximately 100 reenactors from Alcalá de Henares and various parts of Spain are expected to participate. These groups, convened by the Friends of the Golden Age association and their ‘Soldiers of Cervantes’, will bring the day to life with historical representations.
Throughout the day, attendees can witness demonstrations of artisanal crafts typical of the 15th and 16th centuries. Activities will include demonstrations of beekeeping, lacemaking, leatherworking, and other traditional trades, allowing the public to learn about these techniques up close.
Additionally, the Díaz de Viedma School of Arms from Alcalá de Henares will perform special exhibitions, adding a skill-based and spectacular element to the event.
