The City Council of Alcalá de Henares has allocated 700,000 euros to an annual plan for the improvement and maintenance of the city's public educational centers, with works currently in their final phase.

The actions, ranging from painting to the renovation of bathrooms, repair of roofs, and improvements to sports courts, classrooms, and gyms, are being carried out during the summer weeks to ensure the centers are ready for the return of students and teachers.
The Councillor for Education, Lola López, has visited centers such as the CEIP Cardenal Cisneros, Francisco de Quevedo, and CPEE Pablo Picasso to oversee the progress of the works.
López emphasized that these interventions respond to the municipal commitment to ensure safer, more accessible, and functional educational spaces for students and staff.
Painting work has been carried out in schools including Alicia de Larrocha, Antonio Machado, Daoíz y Velarde, García Lorca, and Francisco de Quevedo.
At the CEIP Cardenal Cisneros, the renovation of sports courts is nearing completion, while roofs are being repaired at the Antonio de Nebrija and La Garena schools.
The CEIP Francisco de Quevedo is also benefiting from a comprehensive renovation of bathrooms for both students and staff in its early childhood education pavilions. Additionally, the CPEE Pablo Picasso is undergoing major renovations, including four bathrooms and the flooring of four classrooms and the gymnasium.
