The patron saint festivities of Colmenar Viejo will feature a high-profile musical prelude with the Remedios Concerts. The 'La Corredera' Bullring will transform into a large concert venue for three consecutive days: Friday, August 21st, Saturday, August 22nd, and Sunday, August 23rd. The concerts will start at 10:00 PM and admission will be free, although capacity will be controlled to ensure safety.
The Councilor for Festivities, Nacho Aceña, highlighted that the concerts are one of the main attractions of the week leading up to the main festivities. The aim is to offer a diverse musical lineup with recognized national artists so that all residents can enjoy.
On Friday, August 21st, Maldita Nerea, a staple of Spanish pop, will kick off the series. They promise a night of collective celebration where the audience will be the main focus.
On Saturday, August 22nd, the Madrid-based group La La Love You will present their pop-rock offering, featuring their hit 'El fin del mundo' as a standout track.
On Sunday, August 23rd, the iconic duo Camela, with over three decades of experience, will close this concert series with their signature fusion of electronic beats and traditional copla music.
The musical program will continue on Sunday, August 30th, with a performance by the Orquesta Panorama at the 'Las Vegas' esplanade starting at 11:00 PM. Nacho Aceña mentioned it will be a grand spectacle featuring twenty musicians and dancers, including current hits and timeless classics, concluding with a light and fireworks show.
With these offerings, Colmenar Viejo adds several days of live music with distinct styles such as pop, pop-rock, rumba, and an orchestral spectacle.
