The works are focused on the section between glorieta de Aguadores and plaza de la Juventud. This area, known for its high traffic density, had a significantly deteriorated surface that required urgent intervention to ensure road safety.
The renovation includes replacing the asphalt and widening the sidewalks, a measure designed to facilitate pedestrian movement and boost local commerce. Due to the scale of the project, temporary traffic diversions have been implemented in the area.
This action is part of a broader municipal neighborhood improvement plan, which seeks to connect the Val neighborhood more efficiently with the Historic Center. At the same time, the council is carrying out other mobility projects on paseo de la Alameda and surrounding streets such as Gonzalo de Berceo, Andrea Doria, and Almería, with an additional investment of 290,000 euros.
