The Municipal Board of District IV has unveiled the schedule for the District Festivities, which will take place on May 29th, 30th, and 31st. The program is designed to offer a wide range of cultural, musical, children's, sports, and leisure activities, intended for residents of all ages.
The president of District IV, Antonio Saldaña, has invited residents to participate in the events to be held at various emblematic venues such as the La Galatea Cultural Center, Plaza del Viento, Parque Jesuitas, and the Municipal Board of District IV itself. These spaces will host concerts, workshops, theatrical performances, tourist routes, environmental initiatives, dance shows, and participatory activities for family enjoyment.
The celebration will kick off on Friday, May 29th, with children's workshops and educational games, theater, and live music. Bands such as Lemon Oil, Grupo Trevian, and Sambolero will perform, along with the Asociación Juvenil Ballet Albéniz with a dance performance. Saturday, May 30th, will feature tourist and environmental routes, a parade by the troupe “Los Pequeñantes,” and a variety of activities for children, including theater, an escape room, aquatic bouncy castles, and a foam party. The day will also include a popular paella and musical performances by Mayrock and Marshall Flash.
On Sunday, May 31st, the festive offerings will continue with more tourist routes, parades, family theater, environmental activities, children's workshops, and dance exhibitions, as well as inclusive proposals from local associations. The evening will culminate with a grand social dance event and a pop-rock concert by the group Sin Recreo at Plaza del Viento.
Additionally, throughout the weekend, Plaza del Viento will feature a food truck service to complement the gastronomic and leisure offerings.
