This aid is divided into two main lines: the first for the promotion of grassroots sports in the city, and the second for sports entities and individual athletes for their participation in official competitions during the 2025-2026 season.
The subsidies will cover participation in various competitive levels, including regional (Campeonatos de Madrid, Regular League Final Stages), national (Spanish Championship Preliminary Stages, Spanish Championships, promotion playoffs), and international (European Championship Qualifiers, European Championships, World Cup Qualifiers, World Cups, and Olympic Games).
The Councilor for Sports, Lola López, emphasized that the objective is to "promote the development and fostering of sports activities" and highlighted the "important benefits" that sport brings to the integral development of personality and general well-being.
The total budget allocated for this aid amounts to 112,000 euros. Of this amount, 82,000 euros will be dedicated to the promotion of grassroots sports, while the remaining 30,000 euros will be distributed among entities and athletes for their participation in official competitions.
The application submission period will be open from September 1 to September 15, 2026, inclusive.
