The inauguration was attended by councilors Lola López, Vicente Pérez, and Víctor Cobo. The fair, organized by the Culture Department of the Alcalá de Henares City Council, offers a wide selection of second-hand books at affordable prices, as well as valuable out-of-print and antique editions for collectors.
Around twenty stands from bookstores such as Librería Gustavo Blázquez, Capitel, Libros Mablaz, Notting Hill, Domiduca libreros, Libro pasión, El Henar, Ababol, and Book Center are participating, some hailing from Alicante or Madrid.
Among the curiosities, the Domiduca stand displays the Out-of-Print Bibliography of Alcalá de Henares. Meanwhile, Capital bookstore presents a selection of Quixote editions from the 16th century onwards, books printed in Alcalá during the 16th and 17th centuries, along with ancient documents, maps, and engravings of the city. A notable item is a copy dedicated to Cardinal Cisneros and an edition of Lorca's Gypsy Ballads.
At the Gustavo Blázquez stand, visitors can find 1970s fantasy and science fiction collections, including works by Spanish author Rafael Martín Trechera, known for his comic work, and writings by Roger Zelazny, a recipient of six Hugo Awards and a Locus Award.
