The Brotherhood of El Despojado in Alcalá de Henares has inaugurated its new headquarters on Calle Santiago, marking a significant milestone in its journey after its recent relocation to the city center.

This year has been significant for the Brotherhood of El Despojado in Alcalá de Henares, which has undergone a fundamental change by leaving its previous location in Espartales to establish itself in the heart of the city. Its new home is located in the church of the Convent of San Juan de la Penitencia.
Although the religious images were already under the care of the Brotherhood and the convent sisters, the opening of the new headquarters represents a considerable step forward. This space, situated on the ground floor of what was formerly the school adjacent to the convent, is a source of great joy and hope for both the nuns and the Brotherhood itself, solidifying its growth.
The inauguration ceremony took place last weekend, beginning with a solemn mass. Afterwards, the facilities were blessed and a tour was conducted. The courtyard of the old school was opened to accommodate the large crowd gathered to celebrate this event.
Throughout the rest of the year, the Brotherhood's religious figures will remain in the church, while the new headquarters will serve as a meeting point and management center for its activities.
