Alcalá de Henares Celebrates its First April Fair at Quinta de Cervantes
The cultural program, spanning the entire month of April, includes music, dance, theater, and an April Fair with local participation.

The Quinta de Cervantes in Alcalá de Henares will host an extensive program of cultural and festive activities for the first time, running from April 11 to April 29, culminating in an April Fair and the commemoration of International Dance Day.
The councilor president of the District I Municipal Board, Víctor Cobo, announced the initiative, emphasizing that the program is designed for all audiences. This proposal was developed in collaboration with the council of Citizen Participation, whose councilor, Esther de Andrés, has invited residents to join the celebrations.
The Quinta Garden will be the setting for various performances. On Saturday, April 11, the Henares Choir and Rondalla will offer a concert, followed by the show “Sones Castellanos” by the “El Yugo” Group from the Castilian-Leonese Center. On Sunday, April 12, children can enjoy the storytelling session “Soñando con Claudia” by narrator Rafaela Nieves Martín.
The following weekend, specifically on Saturday, April 18, the Casa de Soria will present a concert of traditional Soria folklore with popular instruments. Afterwards, the Belén Rodríguez School will offer a dance performance. On Sunday, April 19, the Duelos y Quebrantos Theater Company from Casa de Castilla La Mancha will stage the musical “Mago de Oz”.
The grand finale for this month of activities will be the commemoration of International Dance Day on Wednesday, April 29. It will feature the participation of the First Dancer of the National Ballet of Spain, Eduardo Martínez, along with Misael Navarro, the Pepe Vento Dance School, and various Regional Houses.
