Organized by the MDD dance school in collaboration with the Móstoles City Council, the festival will bring together dancers of all ages. The day will run from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM and will include a charity raffle around 1:30 PM, with all proceeds going towards this vital therapeutic resource.
“"This festival means a lot to many families. This device not only helps them walk but also allows them to maintain eye contact, free their hands for other therapeutic activities, and gain autonomy and inclusion."
The mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, presented the festival alongside the Councilor for Education and Culture, Cristina Molina; the director of the MDD dance school, Gema Moreno; the director of the Miguel de Unamuno Public Special Education Center, Virginia Silva; and the head of Infant and Primary studies at the center, Zahara García. Bautista highlighted the city's commitment to the most vulnerable, emphasizing the exoskeleton's importance for children with neurological and neuromuscular conditions.
The acquisition of this pediatric exoskeleton represents a valuable tool for the students of CPEE Miguel de Unamuno, facilitating more comprehensive rehabilitation tailored to their needs. Councilor Cristina Molina stressed the collaboration with an educational center she considers a benchmark, while the school's director, Virginia Silva, thanked the municipal support for the center's projects.
Gema Moreno, director of the MDD school, highlighted her organization's 15 years of involvement in the municipality and its desire to help. The festival will feature dancers of all ages and levels, from the Baby category to Premium, which will include parents themselves. This event transforms a dance competition into a real opportunity to improve children's quality of life.
