This significant investment will allow for the complete renovation of 27 parks and partial refurbishment of another 29, aiming to provide safer and more suitable leisure spaces for children and teenagers.
The initial works have already been completed in the first months of 2026, specifically in the areas of Plaza del Arpa and Plaza Tirso de Molina, with the latter being designed for older children.
In the coming weeks, further renovations are planned for various locations, including Perales del Río, the intersection of Bélgica Street and Buenos Aires Street, Cataluña Street, Plaza de las Heras, and Plaza Jiménez Díaz. Additionally, two areas on Paseo de la Estación will be upgraded, one of which will be fully accessible.
Currently, Getafe boasts 153 children's play areas, including a new unique space opened last October in El Bercial, designed for both children and young people.
