The La Cabrera City Council has collected 60 mobile devices at the Recycling Point for the 'Mobilize for the Jungle' campaign, an initiative supporting conservation projects in Africa.

Mobile phones no longer used in La Cabrera will continue to help thanks to the 'Mobilize for the Jungle' campaign, organized by Raíces y Brotes of the Jane Goodall Institute. Two boxes containing approximately 60 devices have been gathered at the Recycling Point.
This initiative aims to promote the reuse and recycling of mobile phones to recover materials, reduce environmental impact, and support educational and conservation projects in Africa.
Through this contribution, the La Cabrera City Council will sponsor Perrine and Wounda, two chimpanzees rehabilitated at the Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in the Republic of the Congo.
To commemorate this initiative, an event will be held to present the sponsorship certificates and a talk with the Jane Goodall Institute. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 13th at 11:00 AM at the Sierra Norte Regional Humanities Center. The event is open to the public, with limited capacity.
The council thanks the citizens for their collaboration, emphasizing that 'a small gesture that adds to the protection of the jungle and its inhabitants'.
