The Getafe City Council has launched its call for subsidies for sports entities and non-profit associations in 2026, with a total budget of 375,000 euros, aiming to boost local sports and inclusion.

The Sports Department of the Getafe City Council has announced the opening of the application period for financial aid aimed at promoting sports activities in the municipality. These subsidies, totaling 375,000 euros, are intended for sports associations and non-profit social entities operating in the locality.
The largest portion of the funds, 134,000 euros, will be allocated to team sports participating in national and international competitions. Football and futsal in autonomous categories will receive 41,000 euros, while other team sports at the regional or community level will have 40,000 euros.
The call also includes support for individual and technical sports. 58,000 euros have been reserved for gymnastics and martial arts, 35,000 euros for athletics and cycling, and 32,000 euros for racket and paddle sports. Additionally, 35,000 euros are specifically earmarked for minority sports and local sports projects.

"The Municipal Government maintains its commitment to local clubs, reinforcing work in equality and inclusion. It is not only about the significant investment we have been making in improving sports facilities, totaling over 40 million euros in recent years, but also about valuing the daily work with entities thanks to which we have, for example, more than 30 municipal sports schools."
