Atletismo Alcorcón Revives Summer Camp After Pandemic Hiatus

The club organizes four sessions at the Prado Santo Domingo sports center for children aged 5 to 14, with discounts for athletes and siblings.

Club Atletismo Alcorcón has announced the revival of its summer camp, an initiative returning after a pandemic-induced pause, offering children and young people an opportunity to begin or improve their athletics skills.

The coaches' proposal to resume this activity was well-received by the club's board. Details for this year's edition, which will take place next summer, have been finalized. It is aimed at boys and girls born between 2012 and 2021, covering ages from 5 to 14 years. Participants will be divided into groups based on their age and experience level.
The camp, named Summer Athletics, will be held at the Prado Santo Domingo sports center tracks and will be structured into four sessions. The scheduled dates are: from June 22 to 26, from June 29 to July 3, from July 6 to 10, and from July 14 to 17. Prices vary depending on the number of sessions booked, ranging from 75 euros for one to 240 euros for all four, and include a T-shirt. Discounts will be applied for club athletes and for registrations of two or more siblings.
Activities will run from 8:50 AM to 2:00 PM and will be led by qualified coaches from Atletismo Alcorcón. The program is designed to accommodate all levels, from an introduction to athletics for beginners to technical training sessions for those more familiar with the sport.
Atletismo Alcorcón aims to exceed fifty registrations for the camp's return. However, places are limited to ensure quality and adequate attention for each participant. The club's management is working on the final details, including the potential presence of notable guests to deliver specific masterclasses and the availability of the municipal swimming pool for attendees.
