The Santo Domingo and San Dominguín Festivities in Alcorcón are set to begin this Wednesday, April 8, featuring an inaugural speech, a fireworks display, and various musical performances for all ages.

Following the recent Holy Week celebrations, the town of Alcorcón is gearing up for another highly anticipated festive event for its residents. The Santo Domingo and San Dominguín celebrations will commence with a diverse program of activities starting from the very first day.
The central act marking the beginning of the festivities will be the opening speech, scheduled for Wednesday, April 8. The main figure of this inauguration will be María del Carmen Pontes, an Alcorcón native with deep roots in the city. She will be accompanied by the mayor of Alcorcón, Candelaria Testa. The event will take place at 8:00 PM in the Plaza de España and will conclude with a spectacular Fireworks Bouquet.
Afterward, attendees can enjoy the traditional distribution of lemonade and cascajo at the Brotherhood's headquarters. Music will also play a prominent role on this inaugural day. Half an hour before the opening speech, the Municipal Music Band will offer a performance. To close the evening, at 9:00 PM, the Orquesta Efecto Parranda will liven up the Plaza de España with its repertoire of flamenco-pop and covers of popular hits.
