The celebrations in Majadahonda began on Palm Sunday, March 29, with the blessing of palms at the Ermita del Cristo and a procession that traveled along Gran Vía to the Parish Church, passing through Calle Monjitas and Calle Real Baja.
On Holy Wednesday, April 1, at 7:00 PM, the transfer of the Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios from the Hermitage to the Parish Church will take place. This procession, accompanied by a Stations of the Cross, will follow the traditional route along Gran Vía, Calle Mieses, Calle Iglesia, and Plaza de la Constitución.
On Maundy Thursday, April 2, at 6:00 PM, the Lord's Supper will be commemorated. Subsequently, on Good Friday, April 3, at 5:00 PM, the death of the Lord will be celebrated. On the same day, at 7:30 PM, the Procession of Silence will parade through the streets with the Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios and the Virgen de la Soledad, departing from the Parish Church towards the Hermitage and returning with the Virgin to the Parish Church via Gran Vía and Calle Real Baja.
On Holy Saturday, April 4, at 10:30 PM, a small fire will be lit in a brazier for the lighting of the Paschal Candle in the main atrium of the Church. Finally, on Easter Sunday, April 5, at 11:15 AM, the Plaza de la Constitución will be the setting for the Encounter Procession of the Divine Child (Resurrected) with the Virgen Nuestra Señora de la Alegría at the Templete, before the burning of Judas.
