The Las Rozas City Council has been recognized by Plena Inclusión Madrid at the XII edition of its annual awards, acknowledging its dedication to the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in municipal policies and public awareness.

This award highlights the efforts of the Las Rozas council to integrate individuals with intellectual disabilities across various fields, from culture to social action and public policies. Plena Inclusión Madrid specifically valued the initiatives and commitment of the awardees in promoting social inclusion.
In recent years, the city of Las Rozas has solidified its dedication to the rights and social inclusion of people with disabilities and their families. Its social policies align with the principles of the 2006 Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, aiming to provide opportunities, advance universal accessibility, and promote the talent and capabilities of this group.
Key actions include activity programs, therapeutic workshops, holiday trips, and support for Third Sector entities, all with the goal of strengthening Las Rozas as an inclusive city for all its residents.

"We are very grateful and proud to receive this award, especially as it comes from an organization that is a benchmark in helping people with intellectual disabilities. It is a recognition that drives us to continue working for inclusion, a task that the Las Rozas City Council considers a priority, and in which we are helped by the many associations and social entities in our municipality."
