The municipality of Tres Cantos is preparing for an awareness and inclusive sports day on April 11, aiming to highlight autism and promote the participation of all citizens.

This initiative, part of a municipal program, seeks to foster social inclusion and provide informative resources for families. The day will combine physical activity, community gathering, and access to relevant information on disability.
The main activity will be the Autism Walk, starting at 11:00 AM from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The four-kilometer route will go through Parque Central and conclude in Plaza de Antonio Gala. Residents of all ages, including families and pets, are invited to participate and wear blue shirts, the color associated with autism awareness.
Subsequently, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Plaza de Antonio Gala will host an inclusive sports day. This space is designed to allow joint participation of people with and without disabilities through various adapted modalities. Two specific circuits have been planned for people with visual impairments and reduced mobility, in addition to a face-painting area for children.
During the event, various associations linked to the field of disability will be present to offer information about their programs and services. Their participation will facilitate access to useful resources for families and contribute to increasing the visibility of functional diversity in the municipality of Tres Cantos.
