The Colmenar Viejo Job Fair returns for its second consecutive year on April 15th and 16th at the 'La Estación' Municipal Building, offering residents the opportunity to connect directly with 28 local companies, submit resumes, and participate in free workshops to enhance their employability.

Organized by the Department of Business Development, Economy, and Employment of the Colmenar Viejo City Council, in collaboration with the Community of Madrid, this initiative aims to facilitate job placement and entrepreneurship. The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Calle Carlos Aragón Cancela, 5, with free admission and no prior registration required.
Attendees can visit the 28 stands where they will find companies from various sectors, vocational training centers, and municipal entities. Participating companies include those from the socio-health sector such as Arquisocial-Sanivida and Grupo Eulen; automotive companies like Grupo Bartolomé and Merodigar Motor-Hyundai; service and security firms such as COS Global Services and Movistar Prosegur Alarmas; and large retailers like Alcampo. The Guardia Civil and IES Ángel Corella will also be present, along with foundations specializing in labor insertion such as Fundación Diversitas and Fundación Eurofirms, expanding opportunities for people with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion.

"We want to boost local talent by offering practical training spaces and giving visibility to growing sectors."

Susana Jiménez Aibar · Third Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Business Development, Economy, and Employment
On Thursday, April 16th, the Community of Madrid will enhance its presence with a mobile employment office, allowing residents to perform tasks such as registering as job seekers, renewing their demand, or inquiring about courses and job offers. Additionally, a virtual reality corner will be available for practicing job interviews.
In parallel with the fair, free training workshops have been scheduled in Classroom 1 of the same building. Spaces are limited and require prior registration. The workshops will cover topics such as CV optimization, motivation for entrepreneurship, inclusive selection, and artificial intelligence applied to job searching, with speakers from organizations like Fundación Eurofirms, SECOT, and Cruz Roja.
The information gathered during the fair will be crucial for guiding local employment policies, enabling the City Council to understand firsthand the human resource needs of companies and adapt its strategies to the most in-demand professional profiles.
