Over 160 individuals joined the 'II Health Route' in Valdemoro, an inclusive and non-competitive cycling event organized to encourage healthy lifestyle habits among the population.

The initiative, which covered six kilometers through the city streets, allowed participants to enjoy outdoor sports with family and friends. Its inclusive nature was highlighted, integrating people with disabilities or special needs.

"It is another example of our hospital's commitment to society and its quality of life."

This ride is part of the activities the hospital carries out to fulfill one of its strategic pillars: health prevention and promotion. The route concludes two weeks of promotional events for healthy living in various municipalities within the hospital's reference area, coinciding with the recent celebration of World Health Day.
From the Alberto Contador Foundation, its director expressed gratitude for the help of all organizers, collaborators, and volunteers involved. The participation of an adaptive cyclist, considered an example to follow in inclusive cycling, was particularly noted. The director of patient experience and social work at Hospital Infanta Elena also emphasized the institution's commitment to promoting healthy habits, such as sports, for health prevention.
The mayor of Valdemoro, who attended the start of the march alongside the councilor for Health and Consumer Affairs and other council members, officially kicked off the race. Before and after the main event, younger participants enjoyed an adapted road safety circuit at the starting point, designed to mitigate the difficulties that the official circuit's inclines might pose for some children.
