The new Enfermera Carmen Vázquez Health Center, located on Avenida de la Vía Láctea, has opened its doors after an investment of approximately five million euros. This center will serve over 7,700 residents in the southern area of Móstoles.
During the inaugural visit, Mayor Manuel Bautista highlighted the importance of this new healthcare facility, calling it a "historic request from the residents of Móstoles Sur." He emphasized that the center fulfills the need to offer "modern, accessible facilities adapted to their needs."
Bautista thanked the Community of Madrid for its commitment to Móstoles, mentioning other investments such as the expansion of the Maruja Mallo school, the Plan Vive, the connection to the R-5, and the expansion project for Metro Line 10. He also noted the expansion of the University Hospital with an investment exceeding 44 million euros.
The center, spanning 2,100 square meters, features eleven Family Medicine consultations, eight Nursing consultations, a sample collection area, an ultrasound consultation room, and a Social Work office. It also includes treatment areas, administrative support, services, facilities, and spaces for midwives and physiotherapy. A Dental Health Unit is planned for future incorporation. An additional 1,125 square meters below ground are designated for parking, facilities, and storage.
With the opening of the Enfermera Carmen Vázquez Health Center, Móstoles expands its Primary Care network, which also includes the centers Alcalde Bartolomé González, Barcelona, Dos de Mayo, Doctor Luengo Rodríguez, El Soto, Felipe II, La Princesa, Parque Coimbra, and Presentación Sabio.
