The mayor of Móstoles announced this Monday that he will not resign, despite the judicial controversy surrounding him, calling the situation political persecution and noting that he has not yet received the lawsuit.

The top municipal official of Móstoles appeared before the media to address the situation arising from the admission of a lawsuit against him. During his statement, he defended his continuation in office, arguing that the complaint is part of a political smear campaign.

"I am not going to resign; this is a political witch hunt."

The mayor insisted on his state of defenselessness, as, according to his statements, knowledge about the content of the lawsuit comes exclusively from what has been published in the media. He emphasized the impossibility of preparing an adequate defense without access to the official judicial document.

"I do not have the lawsuit; I do not know what I have to defend myself against."

In a more political tone, the mayor directly accused the PSOE of being behind this situation, attributing a harassment strategy to them. He contrasted his case with other controversies that, according to him, affect that party, questioning their moral authority to lecture.
The appearance comes after the Instruction Court number 2 of Móstoles admitted the lawsuit, which has increased pressure on the local administration. However, the mayor maintains his stance, relying on the lack of formal notification and his narrative of political persecution, just days before the start of the Móstoles festivities.
