A total of 26 bars and restaurants from the municipality will present their exclusive culinary creations, featuring proposals ranging from traditional cuisine to international flavors, priced at 2.50 euros per tapa, excluding drinks.
Attendees can vote for their favorite tapa, entering a draw for three 100-euro vouchers to spend at the winning establishment. Among the delicacies offered are Tosta de solomillo al whisky con queso manchego, Tosta de gulas y espeto de langostinos, Tajadita de bacalao, Picaña de ternera, Causa acevichada, Chaufa amazónico, and Sabor de Rumanía.
The event, not held since 2019, returns renewed with a format that includes live music, a children's area, and foosball contests, aiming to boost the city's economic and commercial activity and offer leisure plans to residents.
The Councilor for Local Development, José Marín, highlighted the drive of local restaurateurs in the organization: “The City Council provides the means, coordinates, and accompanies, but Tapa Fest is happening thanks to the impulse of our restaurateurs.” Mayor of Leganés, Miguel Ángel Recuenco, emphasized the initiative's dual objective: helping local businesses showcase their products and providing residents with activities to enjoy the city.
The festival will open its doors on Friday, October 2nd, at 6:00 PM, with the official inauguration at 8:00 PM. On Saturday the 3rd, hours will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM, and on Sunday the 4th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM. The award ceremony and closing of the event will take place on Sunday from 9:00 PM onwards.
