Acoustic measurements taken by municipal technical services have documented several violations of permitted noise limits. This data, already submitted to the Madrid City Council as the authority responsible for granting licenses, confirms the chronic nature of a problem that also occurred during previous festivals such as Mad Cool and Coca-Cola Music Experience.
Given the extensive tour of the artist, which includes 12 concerts scheduled over four weekends, the Getafe City Council will continue to conduct sound emission control campaigns. Complaints about high noise levels have not only come from the neighborhoods of Getafe Norte or Los Molinos but have also extended to the El Bercial neighborhood.
In addition to noise pollution, there is a severe impact on mobility, particularly in the Getafe Norte neighborhood. The staging of these macro-events has caused kilometer-long traffic jams and gridlock on the M-45, hindering residents' usual access to their homes and workplaces. According to data from the Local Police, approximately 15,000 attendees leave Getafe on foot after each concert, due to the installation of provisional pedestrian crossings and the lack of adequate evacuation infrastructure.
In the face of this recurring situation, the Municipal Government reiterates its denunciation of a network of shared responsibilities. It points to the Madrid City Council for granting unilateral licenses without consensus on mobility plans and promoting a venue that causes constant disturbances. It also implicates the Community of Madrid for financing and promoting these events while evading its mediating role, unlike the protection it applies in the vicinity of the Santiago Bernabéu.
The Getafe City Council calls upon the operational commanders of the State Security Forces and Corps not to approve security arrangements that penalize Getafe, demanding definitive access solutions such as walkways or underpasses. Finally, it recalls the direct responsibility of private promoters, who profit from these macro-events without assuming the costs related to security, access, and noise, with the "benevolence" of the Mayor of Madrid.
