The program "Aquí hay trabajo" (Work Here) on RTVE recently aired a report documenting the internal workings of the Professional Activation Program in Getafe. This television segment underscored one of the agency's most notable achievements: the hiring of 42 long-term unemployed individuals who are now working directly for the Getafe City Council.
A key aspect of this initiative is that it has allowed participants to re-enter the job market without changing their profession, leveraging their prior experience and training. The ALEF's philosophy is clear: "Over 45s, young people without experience, and professionals seeking a second chance: everyone has a place because in Getafe we are activated to work."
The ALEF facilities opened their doors to RTVE cameras to explain the core principles of their employment and training model.
