The project, funded with 55,749 euros, will enable up to 30 international mobility opportunities for students of the University of Seniors. In this inaugural edition, the selected destinations are Lisbon (Portugal), Helsinki (Finland), and Bratislava (Slovakia), where participants can enhance their education through learning and exchange experiences in an international context. This reinforces the institution's commitment to lifelong learning and the promotion of experiences that foster knowledge exchange and the European dimension of education.
The proposal was presented by the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations, in close collaboration with the University of Seniors and the Vice-Rectorate for Social Responsibility, Culture, and Sports. This cooperation was key to obtaining this European funding.
The acquisition of this project represents a milestone for the Rey Juan Carlos University, opening new opportunities for students of the University of Seniors to participate in international mobility programs. This initiative places URJC among the pioneering Spanish universities in extending international mobility to its senior students, being the only university in the Community of Madrid to receive funds this year for implementing these actions aimed at older students.
With this grant, URJC continues to expand the reach of its internationalization strategy, extending the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program to all segments of the university community.
