The celebration kicked off on Friday with the descent of the Image of Our Lady of El Rocío at the Casa de Andalucía in Getafe, followed by a night of sevillanas and singing. On Saturday, attendees began moving to the meeting point, which involved traffic closures on Calle Madrid leading to the fairgrounds.
Due to the anticipated high temperatures and to ensure the welfare of animals, the organization decided to advance the Saturday morning activity schedules. The pilgrimage itself began at 9:30 AM, with the meeting of pilgrims from Pinto and the southern area at the San Marcos industrial estate, on the M-406.
Arrival at the site is scheduled for 1:00 PM. After an afternoon expected to be hot, musical performances will commence at 11:00 PM. The day will conclude with the 'loa a la Blanca Paloma' at midnight, a procession through the camping area, and the 'Salve Rociera' at 3:00 AM, maintaining the lively atmosphere with dance groups.
On Sunday, the image of El Rocío will be moved by the women to the place of worship for the Holy Mass, scheduled for 12:00 PM and officiated by the Ecclesiastical Authority, Colonel Félix L. Garran. Following the mass, doves will be released, and a blessing will be given to the youngest attendees.
A communal meal will be held at 2:00 PM, followed by area cleanup two hours later. The return journey is scheduled for 6:00 PM, with an estimated arrival around 7:45 PM, at which time traditional cheers and songs will be sung.
Throughout the weekend, free buses will be provided to Cerro de los Ángeles. The service will operate on Saturday from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
