Leganés Raid: 3 Arrested, 970 Identified in Entertainment Venues

Joint operation by National and Local Police in La Cubierta area results in drug-related citations and drink-driving checks.

The National and Local Police of Leganés conducted an operation this past weekend in entertainment venues near the La Cubierta bullring, resulting in three arrests and 970 individuals identified.

The operation, coordinated by the Citizen Security Department of the City Council of Leganés, focused on eight establishments in the area. During the intervention, compliance with capacity limits, access controls, the prohibition of entry for minors, and the non-possession or consumption of drugs were verified.
In addition to venue checks, the Local Police carried out public road inspections. A total of 124 vehicles were stopped, with twelve receiving sanctions for offenses related to alcohol, narcotics, expired ITV (vehicle inspection), or failure to wear a seatbelt.

Sources from the Local Police described the operation as "preventive" and noted that recent operations are showing results, with a decrease in the number of arrests and infractions. The "excellent" collaboration between the Local Police and the National Police in Leganés was highlighted.
The City Council has confirmed that periodic operations will continue in the main entertainment zones and other strategic points to enhance coexistence and law enforcement, thereby protecting residents.
