A police pursuit initiated in Getafe and extended through southern Madrid concluded with the arrest of three individuals and eight lightly injured officers.

A police operation that began last night between Getafe and southern Madrid has ended with the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of various materials allegedly linked to criminal activities. The incident also left eight officers from different security forces with minor injuries.
The events started when a Civil Guard officer, off-duty, identified a person near the Nassica shopping center who had an active warrant for their arrest and imprisonment. The officer began a discreet pursuit while alerting the Operations Center.
Several patrols from the Getafe Local Police quickly joined the chase. The suspect, already on the A-42 highway, rammed two police cars and continued towards Madrid.
The pursuit extended through various streets in the south of the capital, including Paso de Santa María de la Cabeza and Paseo de Acacias. During the chase, the fugitive collided with police vehicles again before rejoining the A-42 in the direction of Toledo.
Finally, a joint operation involving the Local Police, the National Police, and the Madrid Municipal Police managed to intercept the vehicle and arrest its three occupants after further collisions with patrols and other vehicles on the road.
The outcome of the operation includes four injured Local Police officers, along with two from the National Police and two from the Municipal Police. The mayor of Getafe, Sara Hernández, has expressed her gratitude to the officers and wished them a speedy recovery.
During the intervention, 15 boxes of perfumes were seized, along with tools such as picks, mallets, glass-breaking hammers, and glazier gloves, among other items. The three arrestees reportedly displayed a «violent and defiant» attitude after being detained.
