The traditional Pinto Book Fair returns to Egido Park from April 17 to 19, dedicating this edition to illustration and creative youth writing, while still featuring classics like the reading of Don Quixote.

The cultural event will open its doors on Friday, April 17, at 5:30 PM, offering a diverse program that includes book stalls, author meetings, writing workshops, and storytelling for children. Attendees can also enjoy literary-themed dance performances and live radio broadcasts.

"Once again, the Pinto Book Fair will be a benchmark for literature in southern Madrid. This year we want to give prominence to illustration, with various workshops, and, of course, to youth literature, with proposals such as live writing in the IV Young Short Story Contest Villa de Pinto, in which 114 schoolchildren from the city have participated."

Among the highlighted activities, Saturday, April 18, will feature the annual collective reading of Don Quixote, an emblematic moment of the fair, followed by regional dances from the Casa Castilla la Mancha. There will also be illustration workshops like “Pinta piedras locas” with Raquel F. Sáez and a creative writing workshop for adults with Carlos Candel.
On Sunday, April 19, the fair will conclude with the awards ceremony for the IV Villa de Pinto Short Story Contest, in which 114 schoolchildren participated. The day will also include storytelling, dance and music performances, and creative workshops for children and families, solidifying the fair as a meeting point for culture and reading in the region.
